Association Between Utilization of Chiropractic Services for Treatment of Low-Back Pain and Use of Prescription Opioids.

In 2015 data was pull from NH Department of Health and Human service and NH Insurance Department to determine the association of chiropractic services for lower chronic back pain and the use of prescription opioids. They found that patients who utilize chiropractic services had a reduce use of opioid prescriptions. Which decreases costs and reduces the risk of opioid misuse and addiction.
