Background: The purpose of this project is to gather information about the impact of a bundled palliative care service on patient medical and behavioral health services utilization and the total costs of care.
Goal: The project is going to analyze patients’ costs and utilization 6 months prior to the intervention, through the intervention and 6 months after the intervention. That data will then be compared to the data for non-intervention patients to determine impact on utilization and cost. Any cost savings will be reduced by the cost of the intervention to determine net savings.
Data Analyzed: Medicaid and Medicare Advantage dual eligible.
